R.E.D. : Revolution, Evolution, Defiance! Patch Notes
The long awaited patch update has reached MapleSEA! Read on to find out what is in store for you in the first update of MapleSEA’s R.E.D. patch : A New Dawn.
The Explorers Return, Stronger Than Before
• The Explorers (except Cannon Shooters and Dual Blades) have been revamped, with new skills and animations.
There are new hairstyles and faces to choose from during character creation.
This is the new area where you will be starting your journey as an Explorer
• Cannon Shooters and Dual Blades are now incorporated as normal Explorers and share their Cash Inventory with other Explorer characters.
• The list of Explorer skills that Phantoms can steal has been updated alongside the revamp.
• Magicians now have their first job advancement at level 10 like all other characters, instead of level 8 as previously.

Adventure Journal
• Cassandra has given all new Explorers a journal to keep a log of events and quests going around the Maple World.
• You will receive the book after completing a lightbulb quest that appears after your 1st job advancement is complete.
• Obtain different books through different areas of Maple World. Images will appear in areas of the Books once they have been completed.
• New story events have been added and earn achievements through the different books that you find. Each story event has its own book and the quests can be followed through the Quest Tab and the Achievements can be seen in the Act Tab.
• The Adventure Journal can be found by clicking the “Book of Adventure” found under the ETC tab.
Free Job Advancement System
• The Free Job Advancement or Change is available for all Explorers that have completed the 4th job advancement and is at least of level 101.
• Free Advancement Coin(s) or Mesos is required. The cost to advance increases along with the character level, starting at 10 million Mesos.
• Each job change can only be done once a day, resetting at midnight.
• Free Job Change can be made at the respective 4th Job Instructors at Leafre : Forest of the Priest.
• Click on your respective 4th Job Instructor, and select “I have a request for the Job Transformer”, and in the next window select to change your destiny. If you wish to cancel the job change, select “Satisfied with the current job.”
• The job change allows you to choose to advance as any of the other jobs within your class.
Mastery Book & Skills Revamp
• New skill mastery books (Mastery Book 20/30), have been introduced into the game. These mastery books have a 100% chance of increasing your skills’ mastery level.
• Both the Mastery Books 20 and 30 are sold by nonproliferation center Booklerman in Leafre.
• Hero’s Will and Maple Warrior Skills are now automatically added upon completion of the 4th job advancement for Explorers.
• Dual Blades’ pre-4th job skills that require Mastery Books can be obtained through the Dual Blade Training Book, which can be purchased from NPC

Profession Revamp
• Players can now simultaneously learn 2 gathering Professions, Mining and Herbalism.
• Levels 11 (Craftsman) and 12 (Meister) has been added for the crafting Professions. You can lose experience if you haven’t crafted items in a while, causing your Mastery levels to drop back down. However, your Mastery level will never drop below level 10.
• New items can be crafted when reaching beyond Level 10.
• There has been an overhaul to the recipe system for crafting.
Revamped User Interface
• New 2nd Password Interface
With R.E.D., not only that the 2nd Password Interface gets changed, but the system also receives a security feature update. For any password changes made from 14th May 2014 onwards, they must be 6-12 characters and contain at least 2 types of the following groups (Uppercase/Lowercase/Number). Examples : Abc012, ABcdEf, xyz123. Please login to your Asiasoft Passport account
Note : Usage of symbols will not be available in MapleSEA.
Edit : You may still continue to use your old 2nd password to login into your game should you decide not to change it.

The character equipment window has received a facelift. The window is divided into separate tabs for Equipment UI, Cash Equipment UI, Android UI, Pet UI, and extra tabs for special equipment (e.g Mechanic Armor, Onyx Dragon, Haku).
• Quest Window
The Quest window now has a search feature in the Available, Completed and Recommended tabs. You can view the total number of completed quests.

• Mount Skill and Info Window
The Mount Skill and Mount Info windows are now combined into one window. Mounts no longer require saddles and only come in Skill form.
